Project Summary

Developer/Client MEPC
Main Contractor Bowmer & Kirkland
Architect Simpson Haugh
Structural Engineer Buro Happold
MEP Consultants Buro Happold
MEP Contractor SES
Castellated structural beams making it a challenge to route the MEP services
Heating & Cooling provided by Roof level ASHP's
All risers & main plant located Around the central core
The commercial levels ventilation was designed to try and use 4 common sizes of FCU
This project was a challenge to deliver due to the structural castellated beams, which restricted the MEP distribution especially on the commercial levels, however having had experience of this type of construction method before I was able to offer solutions to overcome any restrictions. The use of ASHP to produce the heating / cooling on the building was a new dynamic on this scheme. The SES project team where always on hand to answer any queries I had, and the project was delivered in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
