BIMTECH Engineering Secures 2000 Discovery Drive Following Successful Completion of 1000 Discovery Drive
Following the successful delivery of 1000 Discovery Drive, BIMTECH Engineering has been awarded the 2000 Discovery Drive project. This new development is a state-of-the-art laboratory and office building, reinforcing BIMTECH’s reputation for delivering high-quality BIM and MEPH modelling solutions.
2000 Discovery Drive is a six-floor laboratory and office space with a 60:40 lab-to-office ratio. The building will feature subdivisions ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 sq. ft, providing flexible working environments for scientific and research-based tenants. The ground floor will house reception, lab and office space, and essential plantrooms, including the Switchroom, MER Room, and Water Tank Room, with the majority of plant located on roof levels 6 & 7.
BIMTECH Engineering will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive MEPH BIM package, ensuring seamless integration between services, structure, architecture, and civils. Key responsibilities include:
- MEPH Stage 4iii/5 & 6 Clash-Detected Models – Providing coordinated models for Shell & Core integration
- Fully Annotated Revit-Derived Drawings – Dimensioned in X/Y/Z axes, with general layouts at 1:50 scale and plant areas at 1:20 scale
- Builderswork Models & Layouts – Produced directly from the Revit model
- Lead Coordination with CDP Contractors – Incorporating their models and 2D drawing sheets
- BIM Management – Including: Fortnightly model review workshops, Project start-up and information management, Clash detection and resolution, Model management, IFC production, and BEP-compliant uploads.
